Terms and conditions

WanderinTown is an online platform and a peer-to-peer marketplace which connects teachers (“Teachers”) with people who want to learn from them (“Participants”), through activities, lessons and workshops. Through our website everybody can potentially become a Teacher and list activities in order to share their skills and knowledge, while others can book their activities.
You must read these Terms & Conditions before using our website and services. Use of our website and services, regardless of whether you are a website visitor, a Participant or a Teacher, constitutes an agreement to all these terms and conditions. You warrant that you understand, agree to and accept all terms and conditions contained here.

In no event we will be liable for any damages including, but not limited to, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages of any kind, whether in an action of contract, negligence or other tortious actions resulting from or arising out of our services and/or the activities listed, or the use or inability to use our website or services, regardless of whether we or an authorized representative of ours has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Payments

WanderinTown takes a commission (Service Fee) of 14% on each transaction (7% from the Participant and 7% from the Teacher), for the use of the website and its tools.
In both cases the Participant pays the entire amount of the activity plus a Service Fee of 7%. Of this amount, 93% is paid to the respective Teacher within 24 hours after the reserved event has taken place in a satisfactory manner.
The Teacher has access to the list of Participants with a confirmed booking for all the dates and times scheduled.
Users can book group activities choosing from dates and times published by the Teacher. In this case the Participant pays the full amount in advance.
Users can also request a private lesson from a Teacher, proposing a date and a time. The Teacher who receives a request for a private activity can decide whether to accept or decline the request. If the request is accepted, the Participant can proceed to payment in order to confirm the booking.
Cancellation by the Participant: as a Participant you will not be refunded in case of cancellation or no-show. As a Teacher you will be paid the total amount you were supposed to be paid, even in case of no-shows by Participants with a confirmed booking.
Cancellation by the Teacher: as a Participant you will get a 100% refund. In this case, no payments are done to the organizer.
The cancellation policy is only applicable to confirmed bookings.
It’s a Teacher’s responsibility to determine which taxes are applicable and he/she is required to comply with the applicable local tax law and pay any corresponding taxes. Teacher represent and warrant that they will pay such taxes in time and in compliance with the applicable tax law.
